One-on-one coaching for teenagers

Coaching for teens in the age of AI.

Your teen builds focus, follows through on real goals, and learns to use AI as a tool for thinking — not a substitute for it.

What we work on

Three ways in.

Every engagement is one-on-one and starts with a discovery session. From there, it takes one of three shapes.

Flagship

AI Fluency

Most teens already use AI. Almost none use it well. Your teen learns how it works, when to lean on it, when to close it — and how to stay the one doing the thinking.

  • How AI actually works — and where it lies
  • Learning patterns that beat copy-paste
  • A personal code for integrity at school
  • A real capstone project, presented to you

Focus & Habits

Procrastination, screen time, stress, overthinking. We build practical systems with your teen — not rules imposed on them — and keep at it until they stick.

  • Attention audit: where the hours really go
  • One keystone habit, built properly
  • The phone-at-night protocol
  • Stoic tools for stress and overthinking

Goal Sprints

There's a specific target — a big test, a language, an internship. We reverse-engineer it into weekly milestones and execute. The playbook stays with your teen.

  • Define done, set the deadline
  • Backwards-plan to weekly milestones
  • Weekly course-correction
  • A post-mortem that transfers to the next goal

How it works

From first call to real momentum.

01

Parent consultation

Free, 30 minutes. You tell me about your teen; I explain exactly how coaching works. We both decide if it's a fit.

02

Meet-the-coach call

Your teen and I talk — mostly without you. Coaching only works if they choose it: no teen buy-in, no deal.

03

Discovery session

We map strengths, friction points, and how the week actually goes — then pick one 90-day goal your teen genuinely wants.

04

The weekly rhythm

Regular 1:1 sessions, anytime messaging in between, and a written summary to you after every session. You're never out of the loop.

Pricing

Simple, and month to month.

Standard

$599/month

Sessions every other week. The maintenance pace — most families step down to this after the first 90 days.

Every plan includes

Your coach

Someone teens actually listen to.

I'm a software engineer working to improve tech literacy across government organizations in Colorado — my day job is making complicated technology make sense to people. I use AI every working day, professionally and responsibly. That's exactly what I teach.

Before that: a computer science degree with a leadership minor (3.9 GPA), a 35 on the ACT, summers spent as a camp counselor, and an Eagle Scout award. I've lived in Brazil long enough to hold my own in Portuguese. And I'm 23 — old enough to coach, young enough that teens don't tune me out.

FAQ

Fair questions.

Is this therapy?

No. Coaching is forward-looking: goals, habits, skills. If something comes up that calls for a licensed professional, I'll say so plainly and help you find one.

What if my teen doesn't want a coach?

Then I won't take them on. The meet-the-coach call exists so your teen can decide for themselves. Coaching imposed on a teenager doesn't work, and I don't sell it.

How do parents stay in the loop?

You get a written summary after every session and a monthly check-in. Summaries cover themes and commitments — I protect your teen's trust, and they always know what I share.

What does "responsible AI use" actually mean?

Using AI to learn faster and think better — without outsourcing the thinking. Honest schoolwork, verification habits, and knowing when to close the laptop. Your teen finishes by writing their own AI code of conduct and presenting a project built by it.

How does the anytime messaging stay safe?

Everyone signs the communication policy up front: parents may review the channel at any time, and your teen knows that from day one. A background check is available on request.

Can we cancel?

Anytime, effective at the end of the billing month. No long-term contract.

Start with a conversation.

A free 30-minute call about your teen — what's going on, what "better" would look like, and whether this is the right fit. No pressure either way.
